CONSIGNMENT STANDARDS
All items that do not meet our consignment standards will be donated immediately. It is very important that you screen your items carefully before hand. Please never consign items that you don’t truly want to part with.
Clothing:
- Must be clean and freshly laundered.
- Must be ‘gently used’ – items with stains, rips, tears, worn out knees, pilling, seems coming apart, shredding (ie. bottom of pant legs), fading, stretching, etc. cannot be accepted.
- Must be fashionable (no more than three to five years old).
- Must be season appropriate.
- Must not have years, dates, cities (unless local) or personal names on them.
- We do not accept personal items such as underwear, bras, undershirts.
Toys:
- All toys must be clean.
- All toys must be in safe, working condition.
- All toys must be bagged and sorted into common sets, if applicable.
- All electronic toys must include batteries and be in working condition.
- All games and puzzles must have all pieces included.
- All books must be free of tears, marks and scribbles. Must have all pages.
- All DVD movies must be in working condition with a case.
- We do not accept stuffed animals.
Baby Equipment:
- All baby equipment must be clean and ‘gently’ used.
- All equipment must be in safe, working condition and include all parts and pieces.
- All equipment must meet the provincial standards, which we must adhere to.
- We do not sell car seats, cribs, or large furniture.
We appreciate a phone call prior to bringing in larger items such change tables, toddler beds and bassinets – to ensure we don’t already have too many of that item and/or that we have the space to accommodate it.
